Plain notes

How to use this site

A few honest notes about the tools and the shop.

No accounts

The catalogue, lure picker and checklist are ready to use at once. No steps stand between you and the tools. Items you keep and checklist marks stay on your device. Clearing browser or app data removes that local list too. If you want help, contact the shop and we will talk you through it. The tools are simple on purpose, so you can spend less time on a screen and more time near the water.

Prices are for the shop only

Every AUD price on this page belongs to a real product or service, such as a rod, a lure pack or a reel clean. The apps do not sell anything. When you want to buy, call us or visit the shop. We can hold gear if you need a day to decide. We do not take payment through the apps and we will never ask for card details online. That keeps the website plain and honest.

Offline after install

Each app can be installed on your phone. Once installed, it opens without internet. That is helpful on the water where signal is patchy. The look switch changes the colour scheme for glare on a bright boat deck. A print button gives you a paper copy of the catalogue, picker suggestion or checklist. Nothing is hidden behind a paywall; the install simply makes the tool easier to reach.

What local anglers say

Word from the water

Quiet feedback from people who use the shop and the apps.

I came in as a beginner and left with a balanced rod and reel. The picker pointed me to the right setup before I walked through the door.

Beginner, Lake Macquarie

The catalogue saved me time. I filtered for small hard-body lures, saved three, then rang the shop. Easy.

Local angler, Gippsland

My old reel was noisy. They serviced it and showed me what was worn. Honest and quick.

Angler, Murray River

I use the checklist for every boat day now. Nothing stays on the ramp.

Boat owner, Port Macquarie

The fishing trip checklist is plain and useful. My kids know what to pack too.

Weekend angler, Ballarat

Since 2019

A small shop story

Redbank Tackle Co. began with a bench, a reel spool and a map of local boat ramps.

  1. Opened in a small town

We started selling rods, reels and lures to local anglers. The first week we replaced two bail springs and learned how many people forget to check their line.

  2. First helper tool

We made the catalogue so customers could browse the current tackle list before they rang. It was plain and saved a few phone calls.

  3. Picker and checklist

The lure picker and fishing trip checklist joined the catalogue. We wanted simple tools for choosing gear and packing the boat.

  4. Print and colour options

We added print-friendly pages and a second colour scheme for bright days. The tools still work without an account.

About Redbank Tackle Co.

A fishing tackle shop by the water: pick your lures and gear

Redbank Tackle Co. is a small fishing tackle shop in Australia. We sell rods, reels and lures and give honest local advice. We opened in 2019. Five people work here, so the person behind the counter is often the same one who checks your reel. We fish the same lakes and rivers you do.

Our free apps are helpers for our customers. The catalogue shows what we stock, the picker suggests a setup, and the checklist helps you pack. Prices stay in AUD and are only for the real products and services we sell. The apps never ask for payment or a log-in.

Common questions

Before you ask

Do I need an account to use the apps?

No. The catalogue, lure picker and checklist are open right away on this site. Nothing is saved to a server. Items you save or tick stay on your device only.

How much do the apps cost?

Nothing. They are free helper tools from Redbank Tackle Co. Prices on this site are only for the rods, reels, lures and reel services we sell or provide.

How does the lure picker work?

It asks a few questions about water type, target fish, season and budget. Then it gives one suggestion from a fixed list of rod, line and lure combinations. It takes about 3 minutes.

Can I order through the catalogue?

No. The catalogue shows what we stock, but ordering and paying happen the normal way by phone or in person. The apps do not take payments or baskets.

How often is the catalogue updated?

We change the catalogue when new stock arrives or a price changes. It is a small shop, so we update it carefully by hand.

What is the best fishing days info based on?

We watch local weather, wind, moon and season patterns. It is honest guidance for our part of Australia, not a promise of fish.
